Mountain Institute - Yavapai County's Joint Technical Education District
Mountain Institute offers career path programs in Career and Technical Education (CTE) to students while they concurrently attend their home high school for graduation. Over 1,500 students enrolled in year one from Ash Fork, Bagdad, Chino Valley, Humboldt, Mayer, Prescott, and Seligman school districts. A number of MI students are also participating in courses through Yavapai College.
For the 2010-11 year, over 2800 students pre-enrolled for JTED classes. Students are taking courses in Transportation Technologies, Construction Technologies, Culinary Arts, Agriculture, Nursing Services, Audio Visual, Business Management, Information Technologies, Drafting, Welding Technologies, and Education Professions. |
